Queen City Clay will host its 6th annual Holiday Bazaar on November 17th & 18th from 10 am to 5 pm each day. The Holiday Bazaar Holiday is a chance for members of the Cincinnati community to come see the incredible artwork created at Queen City Clay. Over 60 staff, students, and full-time artists showcase and sell their work throughout our 24,000 sq. ft. studio. There will be functional pottery, ceramic jewelry, ornaments, decorative sculpture, and gift items for sale. In addition there will be coffee, cupcakes, a chocolatier and a food truck! To celebrate this event a city wide treasure hunt will take place beginning October 17th and commencing at the Holiday Bazaar.

Earlier this year Queen City Clay unveiled a line of Cone 6 commercial glazes. These unique and versatile glazes are named for beloved Cincinnati Neighborhoods. Potter Moriah Oberlin used these glazes to make more than 30 tiny treasure pots for the Great BIG Holiday BazaarTreasure Hunt. Ceramic enthusiasts can learn more about the glazes by following the hunt or at www.queencityclay.com.

The treasure pots are numbered and will be hidden throughout Cincinnati. Queen City Clay will post photos and clues on their Facebook page for the community to follow. When a pot is found the finder will post a photo to the Facebook page to alert fellow treasure hunters that it has been found. New pots will be hidden each week. Finders will bring their pot to the Holiday Bazaar where they will be able to search though a treasure trove of prizes to find the one that corresponds with their pot.

In addition to keeping their pot, treasures include handmade ceramic art both functional and decorative, ceramic jewelry, apparel, two hour beginner Open Wheel sessions and one lucky winner will get a free 8 week course valued at $245

Anyone who likes treasure hunting or pottery is encouraged to join the hunt!

If you find one of our pots, post a picture of it (and you!) along with #qcctreasurepot on our Facebook page or email your photo to hnauman@queencityclay.com. Once you have posted or sent in your find, we will list your pot as found and you may bring it in to our Holiday Bazaar November 17th or 18th from 10 am to 5 pm. Check in at the front desk and you will be led to our treasure trove to find your pot’s grand prize.
