Cancellations and Session Changes
Cancellations and session changes are permitted up to 14 days prior to the start of the session. Due to the limited number of spaces available in each class, students who must cancel from 14 to 7 days prior to the start of a session will be refunded 50% of the class fee. No refunds are permitted on cancellations less than 7 days prior to the start of the session. We reserve the right to cancel or merge any of our classes based on enrollment. All students that may be affected by these changes will be notified, and those students will have the right to cancel their registration for a full refund, or receive a credit for the next class session.
Queen City Clay is not responsible for changes in students’ personal schedules. All students should attend one class per week on the day and time they are registered for to ensure that they keep up with the sequential material covered in class. Most classes may not be made up. If a class must be missed, students may audit a different meeting time of the same class that week, if there is another session and there is room. Please call ahead. Priority seating is given to students who are registered for the scheduled meeting time of any class. Students auditing as a make-up are not guaranteed a work space, based on availability. No additional makeup classes, refunds, or credits for class will be given for missed classes. Private lessons are available at $50 per hour.
End of Session Policies

If you do not plan on re-registering your instructor will advise you on firing and picking up your final pieces. The last week for working in wet clay is week 3 for 4 week classes, week 7 for 8 week classes, and week 11 for 12 week classes. This includes trimming. the last week of each session is reserved for glazing. Non-returning students must clear off their shelves by the Sunday before glaze week (end of week 7). Any work or personal items found on shelves of students who have not re-registered for class before Monday of glaze week will become property of the studio to be recycled or thrown away as we re-assign shelves to new incoming students.
